After the 49ers took a 14-13 lead in the fourth period, the Cowboys marched 70 yards in seven plays for the winning touchdown, a six-yard run by Calvin Hill, for their fourth straight victory. It was San Francisco's seventh loss in a row. Hill set Dallas club records for most rushing attempts, 32, and most rushing yards, 153, in posting the best 1974 single-game rushing performance in the NFC. He also scored a one-yard touchdown in the first period. Drew Pearson's four receptions for 100 yards marked the fourth game in which he gained at least 100 yards.
