Bob Griese took the Dolphins 81 yards in 37 seconds to beat the Bills 35-28 with Don Nottingham scoring on a 23-yard draw play with 19 seconds to go. The victory gave Miami undisputed possession of the lead in the AFC East and a season sweep over Buffalo, which twice had rallied to tie behind rookie quarterback Gary Marangi after Joe Ferguson was hurt. Nottingham scored the final two touchdowns for Miami after he replaced the injured Larry Csonka.
