The Saints provided Archie Manning with perfect protection against the NFC's top defensive unit, and the New Orleans quarterback fired a pair of touchdown passes -- 79 yards to Bob Newland and 17 to Joel Parker. New Orleans' defense also forced Los Angeles to fumble six times and recovered three of them on a field soaked by several hours of rain before kickoff.
