Miami overcame a 14-0 halftime deficit with Don Nottingham gaining 105 of his 120 yards in the second half. Nottingham and Norm Bulaich each scored for the Dolphins who also had three field goals by Garo Yepremian. Freddie Solomon's 46-yard punt return set up the first Miami score and Jake Scott's interception led to the second. Neil Graff, filling in for the injured Jim Plunkett who watched in street clothes, hit with two touchdown passes to Randy Vataha and Russ Francis, the first of the rookie tight end's pro career.
