After fumbling the opening kickoff and permitting the Lions to take a 3-0 lead on a 22-yard field goal by Errol Mann, the Vikings scored all of their 25 points in the second and third periods to register their fifth straight victory without a loss and opened a two-game lead in the NFC Central Division. Fran Tarkenton completed his ninth and tenth touchdown passes and Fred Cox's three field goals ran his string to seven without a miss. Chuck Foreman rushed for 107 yards.
