NFL game summary for 10/19/1975:
Houston broke its jinx by beating a NFC team for the first time after going 0-14-1 for five seasons. The Oilers' fourth win in five starts left them tied with Pittsburgh, only one game out of first place in the AFC Central. Rookie Don Hardeman rushed for 66 yards and scored both touchdowns while a key interception by Willie Alexander in the end zone and a sack of Billy Kilmer by Curley Culp for an 11-yard loss shut off the Redskins. Dan Pastorini's accurate passes set up Hardeman's scores. Washington was held to 58 yards rushing.
