George Blanda, who missed a 33-yard attempt with eight seconds remaining in regulation time and an extra point attempt after the Raiders first touchdown, kicked a 27-yard field goal on second down after 7:13 of overtime to give Oakland its fifth straight victory and hand the Redskins their second consecutive extra period loss in their third overtime game in four weeks. Washington, which tied the score at 23-23 on a Billy Kilmer to Frank Grant 33-yard touchdown pass with 2:37 left, took the overtime kickoff and marched to Oakland's 43 before being forced to turn over the ball on a punt. In the game, Fred Biletnikoff had nine receptions for 113 yards, the best pass-receiving performance in 1975 in the AFC.
