The frisky Colts won their sixth straight to remain in the thick of the AFC East race on superior performances by Bert Jones and Lydell Mitchell. Jones connected with 11 straight passes including a 17-yard touchdown to Raymond Chester, and Mitchell rolled up 178 yards on 26 carries for a season total of 889 and maintained his AFC lead with four more receptions for a total of 49. Mitchell broke loose for a 70-yard scoring run en route to his fourth 100-yard day of the year and ninth of his career, both Colts' records.
