Tom Dempsey kicked three field goals and reserve quarterback Ron Jaworski and backup runner Rob Scribner picked up some slack as Rams' starting QB James Harris was sidelined with a sore shoulder and RB Jim Bertelsen suffered a knee injury. Jaworski completed 14 passes for 174 yards and Scribner ran for 82 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown. It was the fifth straight victory for the NFC Western champions, whose defense permitted only two touchdowns during the win streak.
