Dan Pastorini boosted the Oilers' record to 9-4 with a two-yard touchdown pass to Mack Alston on the final play of the game for a victory over the Raiders. George Blanda, trying for 2,000 points, had to settle for 1,998 after missing a field goal try and two conversions. Pastorini also threw two scoring passes to Ken Burrough of 68 and 13 yards. Ken Stabler passed for 176 yards and one touchdown before giving way to rookie David Humm. Rookie Neal Colzie broke the NFL record with 633 yards on punt returns, topping Rodger Bird's 612 in 1967.
