Rams' rookie quarterback Pat Haden made his NFL debut in relief and his only pass was a 47-yard touchdown to Ron Jessie in the fourth quarter. Lawrence McCutcheon, with 115 yards, and John Cappelletti, with 102, led the Rams' rushing attack. Monte Jackson intercepted a Steve Bartkowski pass and returned it 46 yards for a touchdown to seal the Rams' victory, their fifth straight over the Falcons.
