Billy Kilmer and Mike Thomas combined on a five-yard touchdown pass with 45 seconds remaining to spoil the Giants' chances of ending a 10-game losing streak to the Redskins. Craig Morton threw touchdown passes of 63 yards to Ray Rhodes and 62 yards to Walker Gillette, but also threw four interceptions and was sacked once in the end zone by Ron McDole for a safety. Washington's winning touchdown was set up by Eddie Brown's 45-yard punt return to the New York 42. Kilmer passed for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
