Brian Sipe's two touchdown passes gave the Browns a 14-0 halftime lead over the defending Super Bowl champions, but linebacker Jack Lambert fired up the Steelers' defense and ignited a 17-point third quarter by blocking a punt. Terry Bradshaw hit John Stallworth with a 14-yard touchdown pass following Lambert's block and the two combined again in the fourth period. Franco Harris ground out 118 yards on 25 carries and drove through the Browns' defense from the 2 to top off the scoring in the third quarter.
