Eddie Brown intercepted a Mike Boryla pass at the Eagles' 30, setting up Mark Moseley's 29-yard field goal after 12:49 of overtime to give Redskin coach George Allen his 100th NFL victory. The Eagles mounted a 418-yard offensive effort but needed a Boryla touchdown pass with 1:07 remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game after five Redskins interceptions and a touchdown on a fumble recovery. Philadelphia's defense limited Washington runners to 140 yards and allowed Billy Kilmer 90 net yards on 11 of 33 completions but could not contain Brown, who picked up 133 yards on 10 kick returns in addition to his crucial overtime interception.
