O.J. Simpson became the Bills' all-time leading scorer with his 50th and 51st career touchdowns as Buffalo ran up the most points ever against Kansas City. Simpson, with 130 yards, and ex-Chief Jeff Kinney, with 114, became the sixth pair of Bills backs to rush for over 100 yards in a game. Joe Ferguson passed for 184 yards and threw three touchdown passes to Bob Chandler. Tony Adams replaced starting quarterback Mike Livingston (dislocated finger) and completed 17 of 32 for 319 yards and touchdown passes to Henry Marshall and Tommy Reamon. Tony Greene's 101-yard interception return for a touchdown on the last play of the game tied for the second longest in NFL history and was the longest in the NFL in 1976.
