Los Angeles had taken a 10-0 lead in the second quarter following a one-yard touchdown run by Lawrence McCutcheon. Bobby Douglass came off the Saints' bench to throw a 28-yard pass to Tony Galbreath and set up a field goal to tie the Rams.
