Jim Zorn threw two touchdown passes in an 18-second span in the second quarter and the Seahawks took advantage of six Falcons' turnovers for Seattle's first victory over a member of the NFL establishment. Zorn hit Sherman Smith with a 21-yard scoring pass with 6:55 left in the half and following Ernie Jones' fumble recovery on the ensuing kickoff, Zorn connected with John McMakin for a 14-3 halftime lead. Smith picked up the final Seattle TD on a 53-yard run following Dave Brown's second interception and rushed for 124 yards to become the first Seahawk to reach the 100 mark.
