Terry Bradshaw, starting for the first time in four weeks, built a 31-0 Steelers lead before leaving. He threw a 19-yard pass to Frank Lewis to finish a 21-point third period barrage. Franco Harris picked up 117 yards rushing and the first two touchdowns of the third quarter while rookie Jack Deloplaine scored twice in the fourth quarter, giving the Steelers their highest point total since 1952. The Chiefs failed to score for the first time in 179 games.
