Franco Harris rushed for two touchdowns and had his 26th 100-yard game as the Steelers registered their sixth shutout in the last 10 regular season games. Harris scored both his touchdowns following fourth-down gambles; the first coming two plays after he converted a fourth-and-one situation at the San Francisco 20, the second two plays after Terry Bradshaw hit Lynn Swann with a nine-yard pass on fourth down at the 49ers' 25. Bradshaw, who was 12 of 23 for 164 yards, connected with John Stallworth on a 15-yard scoring pass following Jim Allen's second interception for the final Pittsburgh score.
