Clarence Davis' two third-quarter scores led a 21-point blitz to counter a three touchdown Kansas City second period. Mike Livingston gave the Chiefs a 21-13 halftime lead with a pair of TD passes to Walter White and another to Henry Marshall. Oakland took the second half kickoff and marched 69 yards with Pete Banaszak going over from the 10. Davis then capped the next two Raiders possessions with touchdown runs of 37 and 2 yards to give Oakland a 34-21 advantage. Kansas City's Tony Reed rushed for 119 yards, Oakland's Mark van Eeghen gained 116, and Davis 102 to mark the first time since 1973 that three 100-yard performances have occurred in one game.
