Jim Hart completed 17 of 25 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown as the Cardinals ended a two-game losing streak. Hart engineered touchdown drives of 73, 68 and 37 yards to give St. Louis a 21-3 fourth quarter lead, but the Cardinals' defense had to withstand a furious Eagles' rally to secure the victory. Ron Jaworski threw touchdown passes of 36 yards to Herb Lusk and 50 yards to Harold Carmichael to pull the Eagles to within four points with 1:53 left in the game. The Eagles got a final opportunity but Mark Arneson picked off a Jaworski pass with 1:26 remaining.
