Steve Grogan passed for three touchdowns as the Patriots defeated the Jets 24-13. The Jets scored first on a 36-yard field goal by Pat Leahy, but a 30-yard field goal by John Smith and a Grogan-to-Darryl Stingley TD pass put the Patriots ahead 10-3.
