Joe Theismann threw two early touchdown passes to Jean Fugett, but it was Mark Moseley's three field goals -- 46, 30 and 51 yards -- that proved to be the winning margin. James Betterson scored from 16 yards out to cap a 79-yard scoring drive, and Horst Muhlmann kicked a 44-yard field goal to keep the Eagles in the game. Ron Jaworski connected with Harold Carmichael on a 48-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter, but two subsequent drives were stopped short of the end zone.
