NFL game summary for 11/13/1977:



Fran Tarkenton left the game late in the third quarter with a broken leg after getting sacked by Gary Burley. Tarkenton enjoyed one of the finest games of his 17-year NFL career before the injury. He completed 17 of 18 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown while directing the Vikings to a 21-10 lead. He was replaced by Tommy Kramer, who completed four of six passes and led the Vikings to three more touchdowns. Chuck Foreman also contributed heavily to the Vikings' attack, scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 133 yards. The lone Bengals' touchdown came when Ken Anderson hit Billy Brooks with a 94-yard pass, the longest in AFC history.
