Bob Hammond scored from two yards out following a Tampa Bay miscue and the Giants went on to hand the Buccaneers their 23rd consecutive defeat. New York recovered a poor punt snap at the Tampa Bay 2. From there, Hammond drove over on the second play from scrimmage. Joe Danelo's 43-yard field goal made it 10-0 at the half, and the Giants' defense held on to the lead for the entire second half.
