Joe Theismann threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as the Redskins scored their highest point total since 1976. Theismann's 37-yard touchdown pass to Danny Buggs on a gadget play gave Washington a 35-16 lead early in the fourth period. But the Redskins had to fight off an Eagles' rally that was led by Wilbert Montgomery, who scored his third and fourth touchdowns of the game to cut the final margin to 35-30.
