Wilbert Montgomery rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown as the Eagles registered their third victory of the season. Roosevelt Leaks scored twice to give the Colts a 14-0 lead that lasted until the fourth quarter, when Eagles' quarterback Ron Jaworski hit Keith Krepfle with a 20-yard touchdown pass on the opening play of the period. A 26-yard field goal by Nick Mike-Mayer and Montgomery's 14-yard scoring run gave the Eagles the victory. It was the first time Philadelphia (3-2) has climbed over the .500 mark since Dick Vermeil became head coach in 1976.
