The 5-0 Steelers, off to the best start in the club's history, defeated the Jets behind the passing of Terry Bradshaw. He threw for one touchdown in each of the first three quarters and Sidney Thornton scored on a one-yard run to account for the Steelers' points. Lynn Swann remained the AFC's leading receiver with seven receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
