Delvin Williams, the AFC's leading rusher, carried 24 times for 107 yards to record his third 100-yard plus game of 1978 as the Dolphins blanked winless Cincinnati. Miami posted all 21 points in the first half. Don Strock fired two scoring passes and nose tackle Bob Baumhower returned a fumble 13 yards. The contest marked the return of quarterback Bob Griese, who had missed the first five games because of a preseason knee injury. The NFL's 1977 passing leader completed two of four passes for 22 yards in the final period. Boobie Clark led Bengal rushers with eight carries for 36 yards. He also caught five passes for 35 yards.
