Buffalo notched its third win and first shutout of the season by beating Cincinnati. Tom Dempsey's 20-yard field goal early in the second quarter gave the Bills a 3-0 lead. The Bills' final two points came in the fourth quarter when Dennis Law was tackled in his own end zone on a punt return. Curtis Brown became the first Bills' running back of the season to rush for 100 yards in one game, carrying the ball 18 times for 100 yards.
