Jim Hart threw two touchdown passes to lead St. Louis to its third straight win. The Cardinals broke a 3-3 second quarter tie when Hart hit Al Chandler with a 15-yard touchdown pass to give St. Louis a 9-3 halftime lead. Hart struck again in the third quarter, connecting with Pat Tilley on a five-yard scoring pass that climaxed a 60-yard drive. The 49ers made it 16-10 early in the final quarter on Bob Ferrell's three-yard run, which was set up by a 48-yard pass from Scott Bull to Kenny Harrison.
