Efren Herrera kicked a 46-yard field goal with two seconds remaining to spark the Seahawks. Jim Zorn directed scoring drives of 80 and 84 yards, connecting on touchdown passes to Steve Raible and Steve Largent. The Raiders moved ahead 16-14 with 5:29 left when Ken Stabler passed 31 yards to Dave Casper for a score. The conversion failed. Zorn hit on five passes for 51 yards to guide Seattle into position for Herrera's winning effort, as the Seahawks became the first team since the 1965 Buffalo Bills to beat Oakland twice in the same regular season.
