The Broncos increased their margin to 14-6 in the third quarter when Craig Morton capped a 72-yard drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Haven Moses. Denver clinched the victory in the fourth quarter on linebacker Randy Gradishar's 30-yard fumble return for a touchdown. The victory gave the Broncos sole possession of first place in the AFC West.
