Scott Laidlaw and Tony Dorsett each scored twice and the Cowboys' defense forced five turnovers as Dallas defeated Philadelphia for the ninth straight time. Laidlaw's one-yard touchdown run and Dorsett's 16-yard scoring reception from Roger Staubach staked Dallas to a first period 14-0 lead. Philadelphia narrowed the deficit to 14-7 at halftime when Mike Hogan capped a 73-yard drive with a one-yard plunge.
