Philadelphia scored all its points in the second quarter and then held off a late New York rally to record its seventh straight win over the Giants. Philadelphia's second-quarter scoring spree started with a one-yard touchdown run by Billy Campfield. Ron Jaworski, who completed 12 of 21 passes for 186 yards, hit Harold Carmichael with touchdown passes of 7 and 41 yards and Tony Franklin kicked a 46-yard field goal to give the Eagles a 23-3 halftime lead. In the second half, New York's Joe Pisarcik (20 of 40 for 274 yards) completed two touchdown passes to Johnny Perkins. With less than three minutes left in the game, New York drove inside the Eagles' 25 but Brenard Wilson's interception secured the Philadelphia victory.
