Wayne Morris' third quarter touchdown broke a 14-14 tie to spark the Cardinals' comeback win. Touchdowns by Doug Kotar (one-yard run) and safety Ernie Jones (31-yard interception return) 1:35 apart gave the Giants a 14-0 first-quarter lead. St. Louis' Theotis Brown tallied on a one-yard plunge with 1:52 remaining in the half and linebacker Mark Arneson returned Joe Pisarcik's fumble for a touchdown 24 seconds later to even the score.
