Jim Turner, the NFL's second all-time leading scorer, kicked a 24-yard field goal after 6:15 of overtime to propel Denver to its second victory. Quarterback Norris Weese completed all four of his passes, including a 30-yarder to Haven Moses, on the winning drive. Atlanta's Tim Mazzetti earlier missed a chance to win the game in regulation when his 31-yard field goal attempt with 17 seconds left went wide. Falcons quarterback Steve Bartkowski completed 20 of 29 passes for a club-record 326 yards.
