Rookie Matt Bahr kicked a 20-yard field goal with 13 seconds left to climax a 17-point fourth-quarter rally as the Steelers remained unbeaten. A four-yard run by Rocky Bleier and Terry Bradshaw's five-yard pass to Bennie Cunningham tied the score at 21, setting the stage for Bahr's second game-winning kick of 1979. The Cardinals, who opened an early 9-0 lead and held a 15-7 halftime edge, were held to 37 net yards in the second half. St. Louis' Jim Hart became the tenth quarterback in NFL history to complete over 2,000 career passes.
