Clarence Hawkins' fumble recovery of the second-half kickoff set up a Ken Stabler (12 of 22 for 143 yards and one touchdown) to Raymond Chester scoring strike of 14 yards. Linebacker Ted Hendricks' 23-yard interception return for a touchdown gave Oakland a 13-0 advantage. The Raiders sacked Miami quarterback Bob Griese six times, four of them by rookie defensive tackle Reggie Kinlaw.
