Ken Stabler threw two touchdown passes and Mark van Eeghen ran for a score as Oakland defeated its Bay area rival. Oakland had a 9-0 lead, but Ray Wersching's 39-yard field goal and Phil Francis' five-yard run gave the 49ers a 10-9 second-quarter advantage. Van Eeghen's one-yard run capped a 77-yard drive that put the Raiders ahead for good in the closing minutes of the half. The lone score after intermission came in the third quarter on a Stabler-to-Cliff Branch touchdown pass of eight yards.
