With Vince Edwards, Richard Basehart, William Shatner, Lou Antonio, Patrick Wayne, Lawrence Casey. A world premiere movie, the first produced by CBS' Cinema Center 100, revolves around the discovery of a B-25 bomber in the Libyan desert 17 years after its disappearance during a bombing run over Sicily. The lone survivor is the navigator, who is rescued in the Mediterranean after parachuting from the crippled plane. With his departure the other crew members were left without a bearing for their home base. The story, based on a true incident, was partly filmed in the Mojave Desert.

The internal shifts at Century Pictures bring a promotion to stuntman Evans, who becomes administrative counsel to Bracken. Eleanor Parker is leaving the series, Bettye Ackerman is being added as Bracken's new executive secretary. Dennis Cole is upgraded to an executive post.
