- The Chicago convention conspiracy trial featured the raucous behavior of the defendants; now there are similar problems in a Black Panther trial in New York City. The judge initially ignored the Panthers' outbursts and the trial resumed. When the judge finally ordered the defendants to remain silent, he was called a "pig". The defendants were then removed and an indefinite recess has been called until the defendants agree to behave; they will stay in prison until that time.
