Guest stars appearing as townspeople are Tom T. Hall (who wrote the song), Hamilton Camp, Don Bowman, Clair and McMahon, the Deer Creek Do-Gooders, Louis Roberts, Mel Tillis, Melody Engle, Virginia Peters and Debbie Williams.
