Season 1, episode 1 W: Harvey Bullock, R.S. Allen D: William Hanna, Joseph Barbera Debut of a weekly animated comedy series focusing on the adventures of two married professional football players. The central character is Ed Huddles (voiced by Cliff Norton), star quarterback of the Rhinos. His wife is Marge (Jean Vanderpyl) and his best friend is Bubba McCoy (Mel Blanc), the team's center. Bubba's wife is Penny (Marie Wilson) and their not-so-friendly neighbor is Claude Pertwee (Paul Lynde). The first episode finds Huddles becoming a partner in a back yard swimming pool.

[CBS 10:00] A Conversation With The President
In a live telecast from San Clemente, Calif., President Nixon meets with correspondents from NBC (John Chancellor), CBS (Eric Sevareid) and ABC (Howard K. Smith), to answer questions on foreign policy. There have been three network conversations with presidents before, one in 1962 with President Kennedy and two with President Johnson in 1964 and 1967, but all of them were taped. This is the first three-network conversation with a President which will be aired live.
