- Yippie leader Jerry Rubin created a tax-exempt foundation for his royalty and lecture receipts. Required reports are four months late; an IRS investigation has been launched. [CBS]
- The U.S. charged the Soviet Union and United Arab Republic with Mideast cease-fire violations and called for a halt to those violations; but nothing was said about dismantling present missile sites.
