[CBS 7:00] Harlem Globetrotters [special] Reprise of a sports-entertainment program starring the Harlem Globetrotters in a "game" against the Washington Generals. Comic Pat Harrington and sportscaster Pat Summerall are commentators. Originally aired in 1968. (Repeat program)

[ABC 7:00] Just Friends [special] ABC presents a youthful variety hour spotlighting contemporary music and humor. The special, starring singer-composer John Hartford and singer Jennifer Warren, features Pat Paulsen, Mason Williams, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition and Bob Einstein (Officer Judy).

[NBC 7:00] Wild Kingdom: Challenge Of The Cheetah (1) Series returns for its ninth year with Marlin Perkins and Stan Brock. In this episode, Southern Africa is the setting for a relocation project: catching cheetahs in Botswana and moving them to Kruger National Park.

Season 22, episode 22

With Dionne Warwick, Steve Lawrence, Eydie Gorme, Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington. Film clips from the Beatles movie "Let It Be" are shown. Dionne sings "We Can Work It Out"; Peggy performs "Something" and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". Duke Ellington and his orchestra do a concerto based on Beatles' tunes, and Steve & Eydie duet "Fool on the Hill". In dance routines, Peter Gennaro's troupe does a "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" production number and Edward Villella of the New York Ballet dances to "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". The Muppets provide an "Octopus' Garden" sketch with a wise-cracking octopus interrupting a diver.
