With David Arkin (Gabriel Kaye), A Martinez (Roberto Alvarez), Dean Jagger (Karl Holder), Edward Andrews (Joseph Carlson), Barry Morse (Holly Chapman), Gerald S. O'Loughlin (Thatcher), Bill Zuckert (Judge), Carmen Mathews (Mrs. Holder). Dramatic series in which three aspiring lawyers provide free neighborhood advice to needy clients while working for a big law firm in Los Angeles. The trio of law school graduates deals in cases ranging from the high-rise corporation halls of Century City to the ghetto level in Watts. In the first episode they are asked to defend a 73-year-old dispossessed homeowner accused of having killed a financier.

Stewart Granger joins the cast as the new owner of Shiloh Ranch, as the series formerly titled The Virginian starts its ninth year. Granger plays Alan MacKenzie, a former British Army colonel. In the first episode, MacKenzie becomes involved with the cattlemen's association over the hanging of an alleged rustler.

In an opening monologue, King zeroes in on the "women's equality" theme, noting that he is fully in favor of women getting "all that they have coming to them". Later, King and his four guests are featured in a series of sketches.
