Hugh Downs narrates, and interviews Walter Hickel, former Secretary of the Interior, who was instrumental in defeating plans for a new international jetport to be built near the park. It was considered by many to be a threat to the park's very existence and was typical of many of the direct and subtle dangers to the Everglades caused by the actions of man.
