Arte Johnson hosts his first variety special. Arte, in his various Laugh-in guises, plays the German, the Russian, the elderly gent and a boxing promoter. With Miss Sommer, Arte fronts a line of chorus cuties and brings back the Rhythm Boys, the vocal trio Crosby sang with 40 years ago. In other skits with Arte, DeWolfe is a fussy theater manager, Flynn a bewildered sailor and Miss Kulp his secretary.

Bette Davis is Ralph Edwards' surprise guest, with Olivia de Haviland among the many guests taking part. (Originally scheduled for March 11.)
