An expedition led by naturalist Albert I. Oeming treks across Canada's Northwest Territories to within 700 miles of the North Pole. The party observes and captures young animals including the white whale, polar bear, sea unicorn, arctic fox, hare and walrus. The group also visits Eskimos inhabiting a settlement on Hudson Bay.
